Free, confidential dental practice valuation
Estimate a range for your practice from your collections and earnings, then ask for a full valuation based on your own production, payer mix and lease. Requesting one does not list your practice.
For a specialty practice, or to skip the estimator, go straight to the valuation request.
Estimate a range in two minutes
The estimate runs in your browser from published sale data for dental practices. The figures you type are not sent anywhere unless you carry them into the request form and send it.
Request your free, confidential valuation
If you can, have your recent P&Ls and tax returns, collections, production by dentist and hygienist, and your lease on hand. The ADA Practice Transitions Valuation Document Checklist lists the rest, down to your recare percentage, and the dental practice due diligence checklist covers what buyers ask for later.
Loading the valuation request form
Confidential. Details about your practice are not shared with prospective buyers without your permission. Requesting a valuation does not list your business or commit you to anything. How your details are handled.

What the estimate is and is not
- What it is
Your seller's discretionary earnings (SDE) times the SDE multiples paid for the middle half of dental practices sold on BizBuySell from 2021 to 2025. A cross-check multiplies your collections by BizBuySell's revenue multiples for the same sales.
For a general dentistry practice with several locations, or one that runs without your chair time, you can enter EBITDA instead. The estimator then uses a range from FOCUS Investment Banking, a sell-side advisor, for general dentistry practices joining a DSO as add-ons. It is one advisor's range, not data on practices that sold, and the 2026 whitepaper it comes from labels it for educational purposes only.
The data and a worked example are in how much a dental practice is worth.
- What it is not
An appraisal, or a price to write into a buy-in or buy-sell agreement. The full valuation you can request here is not an appraisal either. The ADA's valuation guide (2013) says a rule of thumb should never be used to make the final determination of a practice's value, and calls it prudent to base buy-in and buy-sell prices on a professional valuation.
Under SOP 50 10 8.1, effective October 1, 2026, if the dentist buying your practice uses an SBA 7(a) loan, the lender must get its own valuation, from an accredited, independent appraiser when the business purchase price is above $350,000, and may not use one prepared for you or the buyer. Debt for the business purchase is capped at that valuation. This is general information; confirm it with counsel or a CPA.
What happens after you request a dental practice valuation?
Tell us about the practice
Revenue range, state, number of dentists and locations, and how to reach you. It takes about two minutes and stays confidential.
A conversation, not a questionnaire
Someone from the team follows up to understand what a form cannot: your payer mix, who produces the dentistry, your lease and your equipment.
Your valuation
A value range based on your numbers and published sale data for dental practices, and what could move it up or down.
Your decision
There is no obligation. If you decide to sell, the sale runs through Wraith Brokerage, LLC, confidentially, on your timeline.
The order of a sale, from pulling production reports by dentist and hygienist to choosing between a dentist buyer and a DSO, is in how to sell a dental practice.
